The project was for a new build 76 bedroom Travelodge on a new Andover Business Park providing a useful facility for surrounding businesses. The project was taken from initial feasibility, through the Planning process including detail negotiations with the local authority and through to being novated to the main contractor providing full working drawings, on site assistance and acting as the Principle Designer. The building was required to by BREEAM very good so careful design and selection of materials was paramount to ensure this was achievable. The hotel was constructed in timber frame and finished in a mixture of brickwork render and cedar cladding.
