This project consists of the conversion of the upper floor floors Yeoman House, Penge, South London into an 89 bedroom Travelodge. A new external shaft was erected externally along with links across to the existing building and the construction of the ground floor entrance lobby. The Planning process involved lengthy negotiations with the local authority regarding the GLA’s requirement for renewable energy overcome with the use of CHP and photovoltaics. SKD were novated to Ardmore Construction as the project architect for the project with a contract value of £3.1 million.
